This stem has 0 degrees of reach which means the stem holds the bars directly above the steer tube making the bikes front-end length shorter.  The stem has a rider weight limit of 90lbs and was designed to help smaller riders get the proper fit on their frame.  Many of our customers buy this stem along with our Mini Frame (instead of buying a Micro Mini Frame) making the Mini frame smaller.  When the rider grows a bit, you change the stem instead of buying a new frame.
